Penel, both likely members of the Society of Dilettanti, an English group that promoted the study of ancient sculpture and architecture. Group comprises of "Porte de N.D. Des Aliscamps, Pres Arles" and "Arc A L'Entree Des Aliscamps, Pres Arles". Inscribed lower left "A. Revoil, Del" and lower right "E. Penel, Sc".
