New York Mahogany Inlaid Tall Clock, c. 1800, with a swan's neck pediment terminating in applied brass rosettes, freestanding fluted columns flanking the roman numeral painted iron dial with floral-decorated arch, seconds and calendar apertures, inlaid festoon decoration above the serpentine waist door with oval inlay of ebony and satinwood, bold reeded quarter-columns, base with crotch mahogany veneered panel, and circular inlay, all resting on a bracket foot base, eight-day time and hour strike movement with false plate reading Osborne's Manufactory Birmingham , and half-moon cutout plates, two iron weights, and a brass-faced pendulum, ht. 92 in.
