Marquetry Friesland Wall Clock with Automata, Netherlands, c. 1800, the painted iron roman numeral dial with pierced brass hands and automata in the lower section with three ships, a woman milking a cow, and a fisherman in a blue waistcoat pulling in a fish, thirty-hour posted frame movement with anchor escapement, hour and half-hour strike with alarm, all powered by brass-cased weights and regulated by a pendulum, lower mahogany marquetry pendulum shield with cast pendulum aperture, and hood decorated on the sides with marquetry, ht. 45 in.
