Painted Iron Chamber Clock, probably Germany, 20th century, iron frame, dial, side doors, back and wheel work time and count wheel strike movement with recoil escapement, 24-in. pendulum, all powered by two soapstone weights, the dial with painted sandglass, Latin inscription, roman numerals, central starburst and single iron hand, object right door depicts David and Goliath beheaded, object left depicts the beheading of Holofernes by Judith, both doors with iron spring locks, three sides with pierced frets, domed bell mounted in an iron frame, rear hook and spike for wall mounting, ht. 16 1/2 in.
