First edition, in the original parts, the only six parts published of Dickens's last (and unfinished) novel, each issue separately bound in publisher's blue paper wrappers; cork hats slip no longer present in part 2; slip changing the price of the sixth issue from one shilling to eighteen pence pasted to cover, all issues housed in a custom buckram box, 9 x 5 1/2 in.
