Adams, John (1735-1826) Legal Document Signed, 5 April 1774. Folio sheet with letterpress printing, inscribed on both sides. Regarding a suit brought against Boston bookbinder William MacAlpine by the proprietors of the Presbyterian Church of Long Lane, Boston, completed in Adams's hand, endorsed by him on the verso. Old folds, separation at some folds, repairs on verso, lightly soiled, in half morocco clamshell case, 12 1/2 x 7 1/2 in. The church estimates the value of these books at 12,000 pounds. Provenance: The Estate of David Spinney.
