Carved Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer Glazed Desk/Bookcase, probably New York, c. 1820, the crenellated cornice above a frieze of panels and quatrefoils and glazed doors with carved gothic arches, on a projecting lower case of long drawer with molded gothic panels containing a fold-down writing surface and an interior of six valanced compartments and two tiger maple drawers, with two hinged doors below flanking a panel, all on flat molded base, refinished, ht. 98 1/2, wd. 52, dp. 23 3/4 in.
