Chinese, Early 20th century, possibly earlier. Pair of Wucai porcelain rice bowls, not quite a matched pair, both decorated with colorful phoenixes and iron red dragons racing in pursuit of the flaming pearl, both accompanied with pierced carved wood stands. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 2.6", diameter of mouth 4.6", diameter of foot 2". The other height 2.4", diameter of mouth 4.6", foot diameter 2.15".
