Needlework on Silk Memorial to Colonel John and Elizabeth Pray, New England, c. 1820, finely worked in silk threads on a silk ground, composed as a black-clad woman standing between two monuments, one a large obelisk to Colonel John Pray, the other a smaller urn-topped monument to Elizabeth Pray who died an infant, (toning, staining, some damage to silk background), 18 3/4 x 21 3/4 in., in a gilt mat and molded frame.
