A group of four suits created by Noel Howard of M. B.A. Costumes. Howard worked at M. Berman Ltd., creators of the original Beatles worn suits for the cover of their 1967 album Sgt . Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band . In 1999, Howard recreated the suits and accessories to the exact size and specifications of the originals. In order to create the suits, Howard traveled to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York to inspect the original jackets worn by the four musicians, contacted vendors, and collected fabric and trim in order to recreate in specific detail the original suits. Accompanied by a binder of information, including size charts, correspondence with vendors and other institutions, photographs, and budget quotes for the project among other documents. All four costumes are labeled M.B.A. with their respective individual names printed inside each one of their corresponding designs. They represent the only four authentic costumes together that currently exist in a private collection. Only one copy of each suit was made by Noel Howard. Categories: Beatles
