Two icons in 60s pop culture, Frank Zappa and Marvel Comics artist and creator Jack Kirby, were friends that both had substantial impacts on society at that pivitol decade in America. Collectors of comic books published during the "Silver Age" of that art form may have even come across advertisements for Zappa's "We're Only in It for the Money" within the pages those Marvel Comics published circa 1968. Zappa was the first to advertise Rock 'n Roll in comic books. Jack Kirby was the co-creator and an early collaborator with writer Stan Lee on many of Marvel's most famous and enduring comics and characters...Captain America, The Fantastic Four, The Hulk, Silver Surfer, and The X-Men as well as Thor, Iron Man, and Black Panther.
