A four-page letter on two leaves, written by Ana Lower to Monroe, dated "Monday 6:45 pm Oct 23, 1944. " This early letter was written to Monroe while she was on her trip to Detroit to meet her half-sister for the first time in person. The letter reads in part, "How nice for you to have found such a lovely sister and family. I hope they will be out here too later on./ Love arranged this trip for you dear, and Love will bring Jimmie home at the right time. Now stop this nonesense [sic] about car sickness. God does not cease to be because you board a train, nor do you cease to be his perfect child because you take a car ride or a ship ride. You just forget to put your armour [sic] on." 6 3/4 by 5 1/2 inches Categories: Marilyn Monroe
