Alfredo Volpi (Italy/Brazil, 1896 - 1988) mixed media depicting a series of flags (one of his more familiar & famous themes) in bright colors, predominantly reds & blues, executed in 1976. Framed in a white frame with plexiglass front & signed verso "A. Volpi". Measuring 17-1/2" in height with width of 21-1/4" framed, with sight image height of 15-5/8" with width of 19-1/2". Comes complete with Certificate of Authenticity & letter of provenance (see photographs). In overall good condition, all measurements are approximate. Further Provenance: comes from the estate of a prominent Texas collector, who purchased it directly from the artist, a personal family friend.
