In the manner of Phillip Lloyd Powell, on four legs, and having approximate height of 17-1/4", with length of 31", and width of 14". Born in Germantown, Pennsylvania, in 1919, Phillip Lloyd Powell began crafting furniture during his teen years. He worked with Paul Evans throughout the ’50s and ’60s creating some of the most important pieces of the mid-century studio furniture movement. Powell’s signature carved wood cabinets, consoles, chairs, and dining tables are some of the most sought work from that era. In the Pantheon of studio furniture, Phillip Lloyd Powell stands alongside other Pennsylvania makers: Paul Evans, George Nakashima, and Wharton Esherick
