Constant David Ludovic Artz (Dutch, 1870-1951) Ducks and Ducklings at the Water's Edge Signed "Constant Artz" l. l. Oil on canvas, 22 x 33 3/4 in. (56.0 x 85.5 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, retouch primarily to sky and pond, craquelure. Provenance: From the estate of Ruth Troiani, Connecticut. Ruth and her husband Dominick married in New Orleans in 1942. They began collecting antiques shortly thereafter and started dealing in antiques in the 1960s.
