Rania Matar (Lebanese/American, b. 1964) Helen Mei 18, Boston, 2010 . Signed and dated in pencil on the verso l.r. Archival pigment print, 19 3/4 x 13 1/4 in. (50.2 x 33.7 cm), matted, unframed. Condition: Good. N.B. Born and raised in Lebanon, Matar came to the United States in 1984. Originally trained as an architect, she attended the New England School of Photography and the Maine Photographic Workshops. Her work focuses on girls and women, such as the series A Girl and Her Room , from which this image comes.
