Jean Tinguely (Swiss, 1925-1991) Metaharmonie III , 1981, edition of 380. Signed "J. Tinguely" in pencil l.r., numbered "127/380" in pencil l.l., identified in information affixed to the backing. Etching on paper, plate size 7 x 9 1/8 in. (18.8 x 23.0 cm), framed. Condition: Soft vertical crease c.r., not examined out of frame. Provenance: Ex collection Charles Percy Parkhurst (1913-2008), Williamstown, Massachusetts. Parkhurst was a part of the so-called Williams Art Mafia. He worked as a museum curator and a professor, and was one of the "Monuments Men."
