Henry Greenwood Peabody (American, 1855-1951) Boating on Squam Lake , c. 1904. Unsigned, titled in ink on the mount l.l., inscribed "Mrs. Peabody and Mildred, Squam Lake" in pencil on the verso l.l. Gelatin silver print mounted to paper, image/sheet size 7 1/4 x 9 1/4 in. (18.5 x 23.5 cm), matted, unframed. Condition: Sheet affixed to the mount at left edge. N.B. In 1886 Henry Greenwood Peabody opened a studio in Boston, specializing in architectural, landscape, and marine photography. This image of his wife and daughter boating reflects a private moment in Peabody's very active photographic career.
