Chinese, mid 20th century. A silver and enamel sculpture depicting a falcon or hawk in flight with vast wings spread out to either side and claws just in front of its lowered head as it dives down to catch prey, the bird of prey's body and wings covered in many colored enamel feathers with its wing tips and tail feathers of likely sterling silver filigree, the bird mounted to a naturalistic carved jadeite jade plinth in the form of a stone outcropping. Marked to underside of tailfeathers "SILVER". Overall approximately 8.625" tall, 9.75" wide, 4.25" deep.
