Yixing Kettle with Crabs, China, 20th century, the flattened globular bottom surmounted with a domed openwork bamboo basket-patterned top, bamboo-inspired spout and handle, the bottom textured as woven bamboo basket, decorated with three carved crabs and a conch, the cover similarly textured with a lotus-bud knob and a steam hole in the center, marked "Gu Jingzhou" (1915-1996) on base, "Gu" stamped on the cover interior, ht. 5 1/2, wd. 12 in.
