African Songye or Songe (Zaire) hand carved and polychrome kifwebe tribal mask of figural anthropomorphic form with repeating ridges throughout in black, red and white. Mask with pierced eyes, protruding mouth with X incised motif and small round holes on edges where grass or hair may have originally been strung. Unmarked. Overall approximately 21.75" x 10.5".
