Set of Eight Books of the Ten Bamboo Studio , China, Guangxu period (1874-1908) edition of the eight-volume series originally published by Hu Zhengyan (1584-1674), the eight-volume set grouped in two four-volume books, featuring various paintings paired with calligraphy works in vol. 1 and 2, mostly fruit in vol. 3, birds in vol. 4, ink irises in vol. 5, bamboo in vol. 6, plum blossoms in vol. 7, and rocks in vol. 8, along with calligraphy works signed with a seal, dated "jiyou nian" (1909), each volume 11 x 7 1/8 in.
