Watercolor on paper, depicting a man in a black overcoat and blue trousers holding a top hat, standing on a polychrome floral rug, titled "James Butler Jr Aged 17 years & 5 months 1834," 9 1/2 x 6 3/4 (sight), in a reeded black-painted wood frame. Condition: Minor toning, foxing, and paint loss, not examined out of frame.
