French, second half of 20th century. A red, black, and gilt occasional table in the Baroque style, the top painted in shades of deep red and white to resemble rosso levanto marble, terminating in coved red-painted molding surmounting an apron with pierced and carved Baroque decoration central carved shell and foliate and c-scroll carved openwork and black and gold floral carved drops, the joined blocks at corners decorated with gilt sunbursts within red painted cove-molded cartouches trimmed in black, all raised on four barley twist turned legs terminating from black red and gilt ring turned capitals, joined by a conforming barley twist turned stretcher. Approximate height 30.5", width 30.5", depth 19.5".
