19th century each of baluster form with a domed lift-off cover and double serpent handles, the body painted to show a continuous band of figures in pastoral landscapes against a claret ground with gilt decoration, raised on a circular foot and a cylindrical stand, the underside bearing a transfer printed shield mark in underglaze blue. Height 21 3/4 inches. Good, attractive, complete condition. Very light scratches consistent with age. One base's gilt decoration is moderately rubbed; lightly rubbed gilt elsewhere. One finial repaired.
