(Dutch School, 18th Century) Portrait of a Mustachioed Gentleman oil on panel 23 x 17 inches. Property from the Estate of Pieter Christiaan Jongeneel, Clarens/Montreux, Switzerland Painting in overall good, stable condition. Panel with later cradles, evidence of previous, wider cradles visible to the back. Panel with two tight vertical age splits to the left and right sides. Examination under UV light causes the panel to fluoresce fairly even with some differences on right cheek. Frame overall intact but with some chipping most heavily to the lower right side as viewed.
