19th century the arched, padded back above a stuffover cushion seat flanked by padded arms with scrolled hand holds, raised on scrolled legs. Height 38 3/4 inches. Sturdy condition with minor worming, age cracks and wear consistent with age. Upholstery intact. Appears to be painted, not lacquered.
