(British, b. 1923) Bald Eagle, 1982 oil on masonite signed Keith Shackelton (lower right) 24 x 36 inches. Property from the Collection of the Saint Louis Zoo Association, St. Louis, Missouri Examined under UV light. Pigments fluorescing under UV light consistently across composition. Small dot of surface residue on edge of lower left corner, fluoresces under UV. A couple of small dots of surface residue on lower bottom edge, just right of center, fluoresces under UV. Masonite slightly curved on left side (when looking at front of work). Painting is framed. In natural light, shows well; upon close inspection, residue is noticeable.
