(British, 1909-1989) The Gathering Place-Canada Geese, 1979 oil on canvas signed Peter Scott (lower left) 25 x 30 inches. Property from the Collection of the Saint Louis Zoo Association, St. Louis, Missouri Has been examined under UV light. There is surface residue splattered across the composition, linen matte and frame - it appears to be brown and sticky and fluoresces under UV light. There is light fluorescing of pigment consistent throughout the clouds in upper quadrant. Painting is framed. In natural light, shows well from a distance; upon close inspection, residue is noticeable. Additional photos available upon request.
