Italian, first half 20th century. Silvered gilt and enamel decorated mechanical lipstick case having a foliate chased, embossed decoration to three sides and ends, the hinged lid inset with three panels of enamel work, the central panel painted with dancing putti in landscape setting and opening to a rectangular mirror inset to the lid. The lipstick holder is spring loaded and released when the case is opened. Lipstick holder is stamped "800" and also stamped illegibly. Approximate height .75", width 2.37", depth .75". Approximate overall weight 1.52 troy ounces.
