C. E. Metzger, circa 1888. Cobalt and gold enamel decorated glass perfume bottle atomizer having the collar on neck stamped C.E. METZGER & Co NEW YORK PATENTED 1888 and fitted to the hand blown cobalt glass hand decorated to both sides with applied gold enamel landscape with trees and architecture decor. Approximate height to top of gilt metal fitting 6.75". Note: C.E. Metzger was the founder of the Metzger Chemical Co, manufacturers of perfume concentrates, located at 54 Stone Street, New York.
