Salviati (Italian, founded 1859), forth quarter 20th century. Impressive Murano art glass sommerso vase having a slanted neck to a rounded wide shoulder that tapers down to the base. Three quarters of the vase is in amethyst, at the shoulders, darker amethyst alternating with cobalt strands or ribbons swirl and taper down before the colorless base. Signed "Salviati" on the base. Approximate height 13.25".
