Chinese, circa first quarter 20th century. A pair of large hand decorated porcelain rose canton fishbowl planters or pots or jardinieres of traditional form, with peach and pink palette, with cartouches depicting scenes with birds, butterflies and flowers, each cartouche contained by prunus fruit, peony, pear and assorted floral border, rim decorated with butterfly, fruit and floral border, bowl interior with figural depictions of swimming koi fish among water plants, underside with six character mark indicating Tao Kuang (1821-50) reign, each with separable footed lacquered wood stands. Approximate height (with stands) 24"; height (without stands) 15"; diameter at mouth 16.25".
