Chinese, 20th century. A group of four pieces of carved soapstone comprising one figural sculpture depicting quanyin standing in full length with a fly broom over one arm as she stands on a jagged rocky base; a sleeve vase or libation cup carved in two pieces and bearing high relief prunus fruit branches to front; and a pair of Buddhist immortal figures: Lan Caihe carrying her traditional flower basket attribute and Lu Dongbin carrying a fly-whisk. Immortals inscised to underside of base "CHIINA", all others unmarked. Kwanyin approximate height 11.5". Vase approximate height 6.5". Immortal figures each approximate height 6.875".
