Continental, likely Bohemian, late 19th century. Lovely sapphire blue and gilt metal mounted casket, trinket or dresser box, rectangular form with rounded sides, the lid with white and flesh colored hand-painted enameled design of two cherub or putti frolicking among flowering branches with ribbon. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 4", width 4.75", depth 3".
