Meriden Silver Plate Co (American (Meriden, Connecticut) 1969-1930), late 19th century. A glass and silverplated figural centerpiece or brides bowl stand having a ruffled cased rainbow satin art glass bowl decorated to the interior with white enamel highlights raised on a quadruple silver stand centering a Kate Greenaway-type girl leaning against a fence railing holding a shepherd's crook in right hand, raised on a turned base. The underside marked "MERIDEN SILVER PLATE CO., QUADRUPLE PLATE, 8933". The brides bowl apparently unmarked. Approximate height 12.25", diameter of bowl 11".
