A heavy sterling silver tray being an award for the 1961 4th World Sailfish Tournament in Acapulco, Mexico, the modern form rectangular ornamental tray having handles to either end and repousse decoration to center of a sailfish leaping from water and hooked by a fishing boat in the distance. Inscribed upper left "20 Lugar / IV Torneo Mundial Del Pez Vela / Acapulco, Mex. 1961". Underside with mark "925 STERLING / A. FAJARDO / HECHO EN MEXICO". Approximate width over handles 16.875", depth 10". Approximate weight 32.3 troy ounces.
