French, fourth quarter 19th century. Fine gilt bronze portrait vanity, jewelry, casket or dresser box, circular in form with enamel painted beauty with Angelo Asti's "Odalisque" within ribbon banded surround, the hinged lid opens to a crimson velvet lined interior. Box is apparently unmarked. Approximate height 1.12", diameter 3.37".
