James Walker Tufts (American, 1835-1902), late 19th century. A Victorian Mary Gregory style blue glass bowl with triple plate silver stand, the glass decorated in white enamel with figural girl standing before a tall bird house set in landscape with gold trimmed rim resting in silver aesthetic base with four supports headed with flowerheads and terminating on balls, mounted on a square base centered with the name "Susie" in fancy script. The glass bowl apparently unmarked. The silver holder hallmarked to the underside "J. W. TUFTS BOSTON TRIPLE PLATE 81016." Approximate height 6.25", square base width 3.75". Approximate diameter of glass bowl 6".
