Charles and Ray Eames (American, 1907-1978; 1912-1988) for Herman Miller (American, Zeeland, MI, 1923-), circa 1950-56. A "DAX" chair (dining-height armchair with X-base), having a molded gray fiberglass seat resting on a black powder-coated steel X-base with floor glides. With red rectangular Venice manufacturer's label to underside, indicating production between 1950-56. Approximate height 31.125", width 24.75", seat depth 17", seat to floor 18".
