French, early 20th century. A Louis XIV style mahogany bombe form illuminated vitrine or display case, having a serpentine cornice with applied gilt metal beading and a scrolled rocaille finial, over a conforming door inset with a glass panel, opening to reveal two interior glass shelves and a tufted upholstered back, with glass panel inset sides for viewing, set on a bombe form stand with burlwood parquetry veneered sides and two long drawers, with a shaped skirt and saber legs, the whole mounted with gilt metal foliated ormolu mounts and hardware. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 64", width 33.5", depth 17.25".
