Moser (Bohemian, founded 1857), 19th century. A very fine sugar casket, trinket or dresser box of ruby glass and decorated all over in heavy gold gilding and hand painted raised enamel, the top, sides, front and back with cartouches enclosing colorful birds. Box is mounted at the side with decorative bail and scroll handles and rests on stylized scrolls terminating on ball feet. Interior glass lid has gold etched "15" as does the interior top back of glass panel. Approximate height 4.87", box with 4.5", depth 2.87".
