French, mid to late 19th century. A Directoire style ladies mahogany cylindrical desk, having a pierced brass gallery surrounding a green marble top, over three short drawers, each with a brass pull and mounted brass edge, resting on a roll top door, inset with a central rectangular stained panel with mounted brass edging, opening to reveal a large storage compartment, three short drawers and a leather writing surface, with a molded edge, the apron fitted with a long drawer with mounted brass edging and a brass pull, with carved and brass mounted fluted sides, resting on four tapered and brass mounted fluted legs with arrow feet. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 45.625", width 30", depth 19".
