German, late 19th/ early 20th century. An 800 silver overlay colorless glass spirits decanter of teardrop bottle form having spreading silver ring foot shaped to edges with scrolls and flowers and extending upward to encase glass with pierced frieze of a countryside scene of children at play with a dog, the silver mount issuing silver rop cord intertwining to support bottle at neck, with further embossed and pierced overlay to collar and stopper with figural finial of a boy holding a grape bunch and beaker. Underside marked "800" beside crescent moon and crown indicating production after 1886. Approximate height 15.5", diameter 4.25".
