Continental, 20th century. Black Forest carved figural tantalus holder depicting a charming and pleasant bear standing on hind feet ahdn holding a walking stick on a rounded base with carved and textured naturalistic ground. Bear with smiling open mouth, upturned ears and prepared for a hike with scalloped edged basket on back (for holding decanter) and antler form holders radiating from sides (for holding cordial glasses). Unmarked. Overall approximate height 15.125".
