American, early 20th century. A Rococo Revival etagere or vitrine, the upper portion having a carved floral pediment, centered with a floral female face, surrounded by swagged roses and vines, resting on a shallow shelf, supported by two scrolled and pierced foliated supports carved with foliage and rosettes, set on top of the lower cabinet, having an overhanging molded cornice over a conforming case, the stiles with applied patera blocks with carved rosettes at the cornice, with vertical fluting terminating in acanthus scrolls, accented with carved rose swags, the front and sides fitted with with inset beveled glass panels, with a shaped skirt and block feet. The interior is fitted with two glass shelves, with floral silk upholstery to the back. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 74.75", width 46", depth 21".
