Continental, possibly Belgian, late 19th/early 20th century. A carved and stained oak drop front bar in two portions, the upper portion having an overhanging dentil and egg and dart molded cornice, with a highly carved frieze having a central winged angel amidst scrolling foliage and vines, with high relief gargoyle patera blocks, flanked on either side by female figures, the fall front carved with a central gargoyle and crest and scrolled foliage, opening to reveal a later mirrored and shelved interior bar, the lower portion with an egg and dart molded cornice above one long drawers and two cabinet doors, each carved with gargoyles and scrolled vines, the whole resting on a molded base and scrolled and foliated bracket feet. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 64", width 58", depth 22".
