A fine Aesthetic Movement sterling silver wine cooler of trophy form having sculptural molded lion's mask ring handles to either side of shoulder flanking chased arabesque and floral frieze, the wide mouth having fixed inner sleeve for wine bottle. No monograms. Underside marked "TIFFANY & CO. / 521 / QUALITY / 925-1000 / 4852 / 550 BROADWAY" flanked by two Gothic style "M" letters. Approximate height 9.625", diameter 8.25", width across handles 9.5". Total weight approximately 62.41 troy ounces. Condition: Note: the maker's mark on this item indicates production during the directorship of J. C. Moore & Son(c.1854-1869).
