English, late 19th century. An Aesthetic Movement ebonized trumeau mirror in the style of William Morris, having a pierced gallery, pilaster columns with gold painted fluting, flanking a semicircular painted panel, depicting children in a classical scene, with foliage against a gold background, accented with spandrels, above a rectangular, beveled mirror with a three panel painted border, each painted with fruiting branches against a gold background, including apricots, cherries, and blackberries, with turned columns on either side, and a molded shelf base with a decorative drop. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 44", width 31.25", depth 6.25".
