Chinese, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century. A pair of Chinese Export plates with decoration similar to Rose Medallion with four elongated cartouches around rim alternating with butterflies and birds with flowers to a ground of foliage, these cartouches surrounding a central tondo with many-tiered pagoda temple with hanging prayer bells surrounded by stylized bats and a c-scroll border. Unmarked. One plate with label from Doyle Auctions dated 4/4/06. Approximate diameter 8.625".
